Week 35
Monday- today we got up and we
got to go to Xela for my comps doctor appt and the other missionaries too, we
left early and got the doctors appts done and my comp is sick and has to take
like 4 pills haha, but I think he is doing better. We then ate lunch with the
assistants at this burrito place, there is a competition there, you have to eat
this four pound burrito thats huge!! Under 30 min, if you do it, your photo
goes up on the wall, and if you dont it goes up on the wall with a X over your
pic haha, but One of the assistants and Elder Tukuafu tried it and Elder
Tukuafu puked during it and didn't get it and the assistant was really close,
but couldn't finish it haha. We then came back to Nahuala and got to write our
families then we went out and visited some members and asked them for
references.
Tuesday- So today we got up and
Elder Lopez and I went to go fill up the baptismal font for a baptism today,
then we went to the district meeting, it went really good, I learned a lot and
Im going to apply it to my teaching, we left and had lunch at this hermanas
house, after I did not feel that good.. But we went to baptism for the ward and
watched two little kids get baptized, later we left to visit Pablo and we
taught him about the BofM and it went really good, he understood a lot. Later
we visited our other investigator Irma, we had an awesome lesson about the principles
of the gospel, we then asked her to be baptized March 9!!! Craazy!!! But she
said yes!!! So we will keep preparing her, later we to Hmo Diego{s house, he is
like our best friend, really cool and his wife is like way pregnant, she's
going to have her baby tomorrow hopefully, but he gave us a ton of food then we
gave his wife a blessing!! After we ran back home, because we were almost late
getting back in the house, but I was not feeling good and puked but I feel a
ton better now haha!
Wednesday -Today we got up and
the power went out, so that means no Warm shower… I don't know if you guys know
but where I am at, we are basically like in the mountains, anyways the water is
like freezing cold if there is no power, we all took showers in freezing cold water,
we just sang hymns really loud and got through it haha. Today was Day of
the Millennial and we did tracking all day, we found a ton of people in the
morning and that was really good, later after lunch we found a lot too, but
they aren't as interested as the rest, but A lot of people today were trying to
give us money and we were like we can't take it haha, like 5 people today!! But
we found a lot of new people. We found out that our good friend Hmo diego, his
wife had her baby but had a lot of problems and they had to take it to Xela and
they didn't even get to see it!! But keep them in your prayers please, they are
really sad because they didn't even get to really see it.. But I know he will
be okay.
THursday- Today we got up and we
got ready then we planned our week for this upcoming week, it went really good.
Got a lot of things planned. Then we got to go up into the mountains, it was
crazy because it was really foggy and you could barely see like 4 feet in front
of you, it was really cold too, but then we visited with a investigator at
night, we taught lesson 3, or the gospel of jesus christ, it went really good,
she had questions and we answered them, later we visited with our other one,
Irma, she is 14 and wants to be baptized but her parents wont let her, and its
just really hard cause she knows this church is true, her parents are just
holding her back… but we are praying and sometimes fasting for her to get
permission from her parents.
Friday- Today we got up and got
ready then we got to go to our interviews with our president! I met with him
and he went over our consagrado book, and looked over it and asked me
questions, then I had to recite obedience and diligence from Preach my gospel,
then I asked him questions about my mission, he said Im probably going to stay
here in this area. But I asked if we could go to this famous lake here in
Guatemala, that's only like 40 min away from us, but he said no because it is
not in our area! Bummer! When I come back haha, but after we went out and worked
with some investigators and talked with a ton of people and found a lot of new
people, I love talking to people making convos with them and then teaching them
a little, its so fun!! We then went to this members house and he made us like
potato wedges and ohh they were so good!!
Saturday- We got up and we
traveled to a place called Palinkish, it's so crazy, that Im serving a mission
in Guatemala sometimes and Im knocking on doors in the mountains and just
hiking all the days, but Im loving it and it is just so fun!! WE contacted a
ton of people today and felt so good to meet other people, we then visited with
some investigators we had and they are progressing!! It's awesome to see their
testimony building and I love helping them. Im loving life right now!!
Sunday -Today we got up and all
made breakfast together with our zone leaders, and then we went to church,
renewed our covenants with god, and had a great sacrament meeting!! Then my
comp interviewed someone from the zone leaders area for baptism. Then after we
had lunch, and then went to a meeting with the ward and talked about so much
things, later we visited with diego and lucy and there baby is still in Xela
but it is doing a lot better. This week was awesome and im still having fun,
