Monday -Today we got up and we packed our suitcases, then we went to lunch for the last time at our fav burger place, then we visited a bunch of members, and later in the night we had noche de hogar with our bishop, then we left and took our stuff up the huge hill and packed it in a car for tomorrow. Then we came back and tried to get some sleep.
Tuesday- Today we got up at 3 and left for the bus place, we arrived and waited forever for our bus, we packed like 30 missionaries on this little van, it was crazy, I slept the whole way, and we almost were late, because if you are late, we lose P day, but we weren't, Thankfully. We had changes, and Im not training, second time my Pres has lied to me haha, but I'm cool with it, I'm with Elder Cuc, a little bit about him, he is really small, like makes me look huge haha, but he is from Guatemala, and he has 3 months left until he finishes his mission. He is really chill, and can't wait to work with him. We are in a area called Toto, my main area is called Nahuala, it is a little town, and mostly all the people live out in the field. We opened this area as well, so it is gonna be a little hard, so we arrived here and took a little moto taxi to our house! We then got everything set and left to work, we had lunch with the bishop and then visited a couple members and met some people, this town is really small, and the other thing is no one speaks spanish!!!! Well some of the members do, a little bit, but everyone here speaks Quiche!!! Its crazy, my comp speaks a little bit because his house is 40 min away from here, but its really cool to see the culture here, it's definitely different than HueHue, the men wear skirts, the ladies dress in skirts and blusas, and they are all in corte or Whipin. But its awesome! So we are sharing a house with the Zone leaders, Elder Tukuafu(from bountiful, Utah) and Elder Lopez (from L.A.)They are really cool, but we were dead tired and so nice to go to sleep.
Wednesday- We got up and I slept like a baby last night, we got ready and we dropped our clothes off with this lady that lives next to river and she´s gonna wash them, we then went and bought food, but there is no really like big stores here, they just have these little stores all around but not much in there. We then had lunch with this member, she gave us a reference, and we went and visited but the lady barely speaks spanish so it was kind of hard to communicate with her, but my comp is so good at quiche haha, we then hiked up this huge mountain to this family and taught them the first lesson, when they realized there was a prophet on the earth today, they were so excited haha, so the weather here is really hot during the day and at night it is so cold and in the morning, like it feels like utah but without snow!
Thursday- Today we got up and we had our weekly planning that went really good, we got a lot planned for this upcoming week. We then went to lunch and had this amazing soup with these tortilla sticks, they are like tortillas because they don't really make a whole lot of tortillas here, it was really good. We then went hiking in the mountains again and found some new members, I practiced my Quiche with them and its hard but Im getting better haha, the culture here is so awesome and everybody is just so nice! The way they live out here is just so cool, they do not have a whole lot, but they make anything work, we found a lot of people today that just talk Quiche and my comp speaks with them but its hard for him haha, I'm still learning but I can greet them and ask what they are doing that's about it.
Friday- Today we got up and we left with a member to cosechar, we met a lot of people and Henry helped us a lot with talking because he knows Quiche, we met these young boys that one of them their dad died a few months ago, we talked about the Plan of Salvation and he seemed really interested. We had lunch and the guy that gave us lunch, has been to Utah to work, and he worked In Cafe Rio, Costa Vida, and Teppanyaki!! Haha it was really cool to talk with him, and he taught me a little of Quiche. We then had our study time and my comp helps me so much with the language, I'm so grateful to have him! We then went and visited some people with our mission leader he is this young guy that just got back from his mission, he told us a ton of stories and he helped us meet some of the members! We visited with this really old guy that lives way far away, like about 7 miles to get to him, we took a Tuk Tuk, or a moto taxi and went out to visit, that went really good we talked about Faith and how he can better in it, it went really good and he started crying and thanked us for coming. Later we had a Noche De Hogar with a member, we got to meet them and there two cute little girls, I'll have to take a pic next time!! But this day went really good and my Quiche is better..haha.
Saturday -Today we got up and we went to pick our laundry up and the lady wasn't there, we live kind of far so that wasn't the best, we then left to knock on doors for a little, today we really get much success with that. Later we had lunch with this member and his son died like a year ago to a heart attack, it was really sad and they are taking it really hard, but he and his wife are really cool and nice. He gave us a Yellow Plum!! I thought they were only like purple or red, and he said that this tree is really rare, and he plucked one for both of us, we took it home and washed it and ate it and oh!! SO good!! After we visited with one of our investigators and he didn't really take in Joseph Smith was a little upset, it was difficult but we have another appt with him. We then visited a family where the dad drinks a lot and we visited with them and they were all really sad but we shared a thought about having Faith and moving on, they were really thankful for the visit. We then came home and we talked with our Zone leaders until it was time to go to bed about stuff from the mission. They all have more than a year and a half and I'm the only one that is like young in the mission haha!
Sunday- Today we got up and I made some eggs in the frame for my comp and he loved it haha, we then went to church and it was all in Quiche understood a little bit, but it went good I think. We then came back and had our personal study and later had lunch with Relief Society Presd. That was delicious, we then had more study time and then went to baptism for a members kid. That went really good! We then went into the mountains and helped build a little bit of a house with a member. Then a member took us to go see a guy he had, and we hiked like 7 miles in the mountains and it was really humid, or like really foggy and really cold, but we got there and he wasn't there… so we visited a member up there and then we came back down. We were dead tired after that and we visited with this young kid we met the other day and we talked about families can be eternal and he was really excited about that, we have another visit this week! Can't wait!
But Overall this week was pretty awesome, we worked hard and are starting to know the ward and the area, it's been hard though with Quiche, I just need to  put my trust in the lord and Ill be okay, but it has been so cold here these last couple of days!! Im having a blast still and this new area is awesome!! Miss you guys and love you guys!! Have a great week!
