Week 19: New Companion Elder Alagon

So last week was kind of crazy! So a quick sum up, Monday we went to Zone Leaders house and played Jumanji, it was fun but none of us get how to play it haha. Then tuesday we left for Xela and had divisions with the assistants, it was really fun. Then we left for the Capital in the morning and I got to be comp with Elder Money, my old comp for the day! It was so nice to talk with him on the way there, and catch up on our missions. Then we got to stay the night and go to the temple there, it was really fun. Then we had to wake up way early on thursday and leave for Xela, it took 6 hours to get back because we took a different route but we got to see rainforests and huge beautiful mountains. Way awesome!! Then I came back with one of my leaders, it was pretty fun. Then saturday and sunday was the usual days. But Monday, we met up with our district and went to a members house, close to the mountains. We played football and then hiked the mountain and at the top had a potluck! We cooked food on some sticks and it was so much fun and then rode back down in the back of pickup with them.
This week’
Tuesday-’ we had to wake at like 3 to travel to Xela for cambios, I got a new companion!! And got stay in my area! He is name is Elder Alagon and he is from Peru, at first I was kind of like oh great, but he is an awesome missionary, he was in my area like 7 months ago, so he knows a lot of people!! It is awesome.
Wednesday-’ we got up and we cleaned the house and organized it, and are called for new stuff in the house which makes me so happy cause my last comp was so dirty and unorganized!! SO I'm really happy. But we are getting more investigators. And we got to cosechar a lot today!
Thursday-’ Today we got up and when we had breakfast we had cereal with drinkable yogurt not milk, it was kind of weird at first but it is really good haha. In Peru, I guess they don't ever use milk, they use yogurt. But it was really good, we then planned our week next week. And went out to visit and invite people to the soccer activity tonight! We then went to lunch, and today is the Day of the Dead! So the sister we had lunch with, made us Fiambre, it is a traditional dish they make here in HueHue for Day of the Dead, it was really good!! WE then visited some more families and after one of them, it started raining hard!! They canceled the activity and we were legit in the rain for 3 seconds and were soaked head to toe!! It rains like crazy here!! But we got a lot done today. So we can play soccer with the ward members if we bring investigators!!! I can't wait for that!
Friday’- Today we got up and got the chance to go to our Internet and watch a few videos about #LightTheWorld for missionaries and for more details on inviting members. It was cool, we then visited with people all day, and we cosechar a little bit, but the people we cosechar were all evangelicos and wanted to argue with us, it's really hard to hear things they have to say, but we are chill with them and just kind of try to teach them. But we visited with some good families and invited a lot of investigators and members to go to the activity tomorrow.
Saturday Today we got up and met at the church for the activity, we waited for people to show up, and off we went, we rode in the back of a pickup truck 30 min to the place, it was so fun!! We got there, and it is in the mountains, but they have a pool and a huge soccer arena with turf. We got to play soccer with the ward, and that was so much fun!! With our investigators and some of our recent converts!! I had a blast, we then had a huge potluck after and that was so so good!! When we came back, we visited some families and it went really good. We found out our new investigator Michael, broke his collarbone so that's not good, but we are going to visit him tomorrow in the hospital and give him a blessing! We then had a mtg with our Mission Leader and he is so awesome!! We decided to make a calendar for the month with service on everyday for us to do!!
Sunday Today we got up and went to church and had a really good 3rd hour about LightTheWorld, we then got a calendar for us for service everyday. Pretty cool, we then visited a investigator in the Hospital and gave him a blessing which went really well. After we tried to visit with families but they weren't home, but then this sister called us, and we went to her house, to help her with a big T.V. she made us move it, then made us Mo-cafe and we visited with her.
Overall it was a great week, I love my new companion, he is so chill and we work hard. I can't wait to have more baptisms and for the spirit to guide us to the people we need to teach! This gospel is amazing and I hope everyone of you are doing great! Miss and love you all!
