Family Pictures


Amber graciously took our family pictures the weekend before Josh entered the MTC.  It's our last complete family pictures for 2 years.  We've even got a couple with Octavia, Vinny's new furry friend.  It was a crazy day, we spend most of it on the sidelines at a soccer field while Vinny's team participated in a film.  Fans on the sidelines were necessary also and all proceeds went towards the team's tournament fees for the year.  Thanks Amber, you've got mad skills!

Week 1: Buzz Cut

Josh's 1st Week Email Wednesday:  A lot of missionaries were on my flight.  The flight was pretty amazing, the sunset was awesome.  When we arrived in Guatemala, we had to take a bus to the MTC and the traffic here is crazy.  It makes Utah look like nothing!  Guatemala is beautiful and so colorful.  We arrived in the morning, we did not get to sleep that much.  We had interviews, room checks, and identification checks.  Before we got our picture taken, they grabbed some of us and went to a room.  We went in and basically had to get a buzz cut.  I'm still kind of mad about that as well as others, but oh well.  We then had lessons for Spanish all day and a workshop at the end on rules.  I learned as much Spanish in a couple hours then I did in 6 months at school.  Food here is really good, lots of variety and fruit with every meal.  I got my companion who is Elder Money. Week 26: Talent Show

Monday- Today we woke up early, we met up with all the missionaries of our zone, then we met with some members, went to this really nice Soccer Fields, it was so much fun to run, and play! Running makes me feel so much better and it just is amazing! Then we came home, got changed, then went to McDonalds with everyone in our zone! It was really fun, there is a missionary of my group that moved into our zone and I got to visit him all day! We then wrote our parents and lader we had some Noche De Hogares! Tuesday- Today We got up and we left to our District meeting, and this meeting was special because our President gave us permission to plan our Act for the Talent show in the Multi-Zona, so we planned it and it went really good! AFter we had lunch together then we left and visited with some really good people. This one kid seems really interested and we can't wait to work with him. New Young Bishop

Monday- Today we got up and went right to momos, we got to the zone leaders house and dropped off a few things, then went over to the church. We met all the hermanas and zone leaders for my district activity. We made tacos!! We all started to cook, like everybody and it was a little crazy but it went really good, we finished had a prayer and watched a movie while we ate the tacos!! It was really fun!! After we played uno for a couple of hours, then we left and went to write our parents, that went really good. After writing we all went and got ice cream after, then we had to go to look for a family, so my comp and I left but we didn't find one, everybody just kept denying us. We then went to a family home evening with a member from the ward over here, her son is leaving on a mission this week, but the whole zone came over, all 24 of us!! Crazy!
